THE FORSAKEN are currently in the studio to record their upcoming, yet untitled fourth album.
The band has released the following update:

Phase I is a quick glimpse of bass recordings and the track "Beyond Redemption" scheduled to be part of the new upcoming album.
We have not been taping all recordings with a plan, and the instrumental recordings will not come into a sequence - but, we felt it would be interesting nevertheless for people to see and hear what is coming for them.”

LEGION OF THE DAMNED
– ‚Malevolent Rapture – In Memory Of ...’

"May 20th 2011 was a very sad day for us. Ex bass player and friend Twan Fleuren committed suicide. Twan was recruited by at that time second guitar player Leon Pennings, who served in the band OCCULT from1992 until 1999. Twan Fleuren took place in the band OCCULT in late 1998. Before that Twan was also a member of the thrash band DISINFEST who had been recording an album with Abaddon's label from VENOM, but unfortunately that album never saw daylight and fortunately for us of course, this way Twan could join OCCULT.
When Leon was thrown out of the band in 1999 right before we would leave for the
MORBID ANGEL tour, Twan stayed in the band! A lot of struggle in the last OCCULT years we finally decided to take action: we changed the name OCCULT into LEGION OF THE DAMNED, changed from record label Hammerheart to Boomer Entertainment & Massacre, and from then on, the band's career took a rocket flight.
Twan Fleuren contributed on the most popular LEGION OF THE DAMNED songs such as "Werewolf Corpse", "Death's Head March", "Bleed For Me", "Malevolent Rapture" and of course our own hymn "Legion Of The Damned". During our first tour in 2006, when the album "Malevolent Rapture" was released, while it had already been recorded in October 2004,
Twan got difficulties combining his private life and the band, before leaving for the tour his wife was giving birth to his second child, a son, named Joep, he already had a daughter named Nina. After serious conversations on tour we all decided that it was best for Twan to leave the band and focus on his pressures family.
Twan was then replaced by Harold Gielen. Twan faced a lot of difficulties and struggles in his life which ended in the decision he finally made on May 20th 2011. In order to honor him as a dear friend and great bass player we decided to rerelease "Malevolent Rapture" in his name. Twan was always a person who liked the attention in the band but he never experienced
LEGION OF THE DAMNED the fullest, with this release we would like to put him in the spotlight, but also the release is a nice remembrance for those he left behind and who meant the world to him: his daughter and son Nina and Joep Fleuren!

We're pround to announce the signing of DAVIDIAN!
Those of you who attended the Summer Breeze Open Air in Germany this year may already know DAVIDIAN. They were one of the New Blood Award finalists who have opened the festival in the party tent.
The band from the Stuttgart area has played a lot of shows in the past years, some of them with bands such as Heaven Shall Burn, Whitechapel, Milking The Goatmachine or Hatebreed.
They have already released 2 albums: "Abuse Of Power" (2003, self-produced) and "Hear Their Cries" (2008, Limited Access Records), which was produced by Andy Classen.
In 2010 their new shouter Tobias Brasch joined DAVIDIAN and in May they have entered the Antfarm Studios in Aarhus, Denmark, to produce their upcoming third album with Tue Madsen.

Swedish Death Metal juggernaut THE FORSAKEN is proud to announce signing a new European deal with German label Massacre Records. Returning to the scene’s spotlight some years of silence with the band’s original line-up’s core intact, only new among the line-up ranks is guitarist Calle Fäldt (ex Deranged, Feared Creation), replacing Stefan Holm on guitars. A full-time member since winter of 2010, he is a perfectly adjusted wheel in the machinery of THE FORSAKEN, fitting perfectly both in his string execution and in the band’s chemistry.
With a complete line-up once again, THE FORSAKEN are ready to unleash destruction upon the masses once more. The upcoming, yet untitled fourth album is estimated for release in the spring of 2012. Mixing duties have fallen on the legendary Fascination Street studio (Amon Amarth, Opeth, etc.) and supporters of THE FORSAKEN will easily recognize the band’s trademark sound and hellish groove, established on the previous releases (“Manifest Of Hate” – 2001, “Arts Of Desolation” – 2002 and “Traces Of The Past” – 2003, all launched worldwide via Century Media Records) as well as showcased on European touring with bands such as Nile, The Haunted, Grave, Soilwork or also Caliban.

Thrash metal veterans NECRONOMICON sign with us!
Since 28 years the band members are dedicating their lives to thrash
metal. Everything began in 1984 when four young men, Freddy, Lars
Honeck, Jürgen Weltin (Jogi) and Axel, decided to form NECRONOMICON.
Recognising the urban character and punk roots that made the band so
original, fans and media alike responded enthusiastically to the debut
album "Necronomicon". NECRONOMICON’s second album, "Apocalyptic
Nightmare" was released in 1987 and interest in the band continued to
grow significantly worldwide.
The legendary album "Escalation" followed, climbing to the Top 30 in the
Rock Charts in Greece. Unfortunately, co-founders Jogi, Lala and Axel
were unable to continue with the band, leaving Freddy as the only
original member, and he made NECRONOMICON his life’s purpose and passion.
During the following years, NECRONOMICON released further albums and
demos. Even the toughest critics would have to agree that a band which
has a fan base that has not only remained loyal, but constantly pulls in
new young fans must be endowed with a character and identity all of its
own that makes it stand out from the masses.
Since December 2010, Freddy had been busy writing new songs for the
highly anticipated new album, "Invictus" which will be produced at the
Arsen Music Studios in Breisach and Berlin. Sound guru Achim Köhler will
once again handle the mix and mastering. The guest musicians are none
other than Randy Black (Ex-Annihilator) and Ben Krahl (Final Kings).
Let there be no doubt in anyone’s mind - NECRONOMICON has never been
stronger!

"Own The Crown" is the long awaited comeback album of MAJESTY containing two CDs packed with immortal Heavy Metal hymns.
On the first disc you find all the greatest MAJESTY hits of the band´s career so far.
Besides of the two new songs "Own The Crown" and "Metal On The Road" the second CD will feature lots of rare songs and rerecorded material which most of the fans have never heard before.

Yesterday thrash masters CRIMINAL – originally formed in Chile and now based in the UK – entered bassist Dan Biggin's HVR Recording Studios in Suffolk, UK to record their seventh studio album, the first since the departure of guitarist / founding member Rodrigo Contreras and the subsequent addition of Basque guitar wizard Olmo Cascallar.
“The way we're approaching the drums this time around is to focus a lot on the set-up of the sounds before we record”, explains drummer Zac O'Neil. “I think in the past we've been too quick to start tracking without thinking too much about the raw audio. I'm very keen to move in a different direction from the way that metal is going with sampled and edited drums, and go back to the way that metal used to be before all this electronic trickery. Hopefully we'll retain the dynamics and raw energy that just isn't present in many productions nowadays.
“I've also been concentrating on pre-production arrangements for the drum tracks. I want to make sure that what I play complements the songs and is not too busy or complicated for the sake of it.
“I'm really looking forward to how this next CRIMINAL album will turn out. Hopefully we'll also get some nice tracking footage as well for the fans to see just how we did it.”
The album will be entitled "Akelarre", the follow-up to the acclaimed “White Hell” (2009), will be released in August 2011 by Massacre Records.

| | Call Upon The Wicked
Many years have passed since the last Witches an. Jack Frost decided it was time to give the fans what thay wanted. And brought back Mr James Rivera (Helstar) at the helm to take back the metal once again. With the monsterous bass and song writting of Mike LePond (Symphony X) and drums from Taz Marazz Jack Frost and the guys did a great record with Joey Vera (Armored Saint, Fates Warning) handling the mixing.
The tile is called "Call Upon The Wicked". Songs range from classic Judas Priest to a touch of Rainbow there's even a Epic with Female Vocals a new step in their chapter. The record is a bit of a concept talking how women have been the decline of men since the beginning of time.

Circle Of Silence signs with MASSACRE RECORDS!
Some of you may have already seen them live, for example at The Prophecy23's CD release show back in July 2010.
The band started as a 2-man-project of Tobias (lead guitarist) and Björn (bass) but has grown to a 'real' band within the last few years.
They have already released two self produced albums in 2006 and 2008.
The band describes its sound as aggressive (power) metal with catchy songs and melodies.
Fast double bass songs and mid-tempomidtempo smashers combined with catchy melodies and aggressive clean vocals are the unique trademark of CIRCLE OF SILENCE.
CIRCLE OF SILCENCE have already recorded their forthcoming album at the Maranis Studios with Vagelis Maranis (Fallen Yggdrasil, Nocte Obducta. Winter's Verge).
The new album will contain riff orientated power metal with a touch of thrash and heavy metal.
"The Blackened Halo" will be released on April 29, 2011!

Massacre are proud to welcome German true metal kings STORMWARRIOR to the label. Being
one of Germany's most upcoming metal bands the quartet has signed a long-term contract and
already started with the works on their upcoming 4th album (working title is Heathen Warrior).
The new album will be in stores end of this year as limited Digipak with bonus material, CD
and numbered gatefold vinyl editions. Mix and mastering will be done by Tommy Hansen same as for
their successor "Heading Northe". Also the artworks will be again in the hands of Uwe Karczewski.
Metalheads can expect another combinationof explosive guitar works, catchy hooks but also some
